In 2012 the Cheltenham Recorder Festival moves to The Park Campus. This is a beautiful, landscaped campus of the University of Gloucester with its own lake and the opportunity for interesting walks exploring its 24 acres of land. The peaceful, pastoral feel of the campus belies its location in the heart of Cheltenham. Cheltenham is easily accessible by both public transport and car and there is free parking on the campus available for all festival participants. The CRF will have exclusive use of The Park Campus for the duration of the weekend.

All the playing rooms, dining room, bar and toilet facilities are located in one building, thereby minimising walking between playing sessions. This feature is particularly welcome in inclement weather and by those with larger instruments! The main building is a recent construction with excellent access for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. There is a large lift in the main building allowing access to all floors. The playing rooms are large with flattering acoustics.

Accommodation is available on the campus in single en-suite bedrooms arranged in flats varying in size from five to nine bedrooms. Each flat has its own kitchen with facilities to make hot drinks. Some flats are located on the ground floor and have bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms which have been adapted for wheelchair users. If you require a ground floor bedroom for mobility reasons please indicate this on your enrolment form.

You are most welcome to book your own accommodation and attend the Festival as a non-resident, should you prefer. Cheltenham is renowned as a Festival venue and has a plethora of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs.
